Testimonials

“As a real estate agent, I have always strongly recommended that my clients get a home inspection. I believe it’s one of the most important safeguards available to buyers, and it’s a small price to pay for the assurance it brings to a transaction. I use Steve Cooper to inspect my prospective purchases. Steve provides one of the most thorough and organized reports in the business.” -- Glenn McCarthy, Portland OR

Cooper Home Inspections is dedicated to excellence in home inspection. A thorough home inspection is the single most important step in the home purchase process.

Prepare to be present during (or at least at the end) of the inspection. This is a valuable time for communication between you and your home inspector. Depending on the size and age of the house, a standard home inspection usually takes 3 to 4 hours to complete. Be certain you and your real estate agent have set aside enough time to be present through the end of the inspection and subsequent review.

Our inspection and simple, detailed report includes a comprehensive overview of the home, including everything from the roof to the basement: Structural, Electrical, Heating and Plumbing.

All major and minor issues that need to be addressed before the time of purchase are covered so that when you move in there will be no need to worry about hidden surprises. The few visits you make to what you hope will be your new home is usually very restrictive. The more you know before the purchase, the better.

A digital slideshow is produced during the inspection, which accompanies our 12 page comprehensive report, leaving few, if any, unanswered questions. An onsite report is available at the time of the inspection if previously requested.

All digital photographs and reports are permanently stored for possible future review, reference and recommendations. We are always available for free consultation.

Gain as much information as possible regarding the house during the inquiry and initial walk-through, and make a list of concerns to be discussed with your home inspector.
